The television anime adaptation of ippatu’s post-apocalyptic manga Tsugumi Project has unveiled its primary voice cast. Masaaki Mizunaka will portray Leon, a soldier falsely convicted and sent on a suicide mission into irradiated Japan. Misaki Watada voices Tsugumi, a half-human girl with avian traits who rescues the protagonist. Haruki Ishiya is cast as Doudou, a fellow convict and former underground boxer.

A voiced comic preview featuring the performances of Mizunaka and Watada was also released to showcase the characters’ voices. The announcement highlights the series’ dark, action-oriented tone set in a monster-infested landscape two centuries after nuclear devastation. Production staff details and an official release date have not yet been confirmed by the production committee.
