China’s citizens seem to be going for a record of some sort when it comes to needing medical aid after inserting bizarre objects up their urethra, as it has now been reported than an 11-year-old shoved a 3-inch acupuncture needle up there, with a previous incident having the child beat.

The boy was taken to Jiangxi Children’s Hospital for an X-ray after telling doctors he had issues urinating, and there the sharp 3-inch obstruction was discovered, inserted through his penis and even up his bladder tube.

The boy explained he voluntarily performed this irrational act merely because “he was bored” and was curious if such a thing was possible, to which he rather punishingly learned the answer.

Chief medic Rao Pinde asserted the boy lodged the needle up his own urethra 12 hours before being assessed by medical staff, serving as the cause behind his urination difficulty.

The regretful boy only sought medical assistance after his male appendage became sore, and at the time, he didn’t admit to his shameful act.

A non-invasive surgery had the needle removed without consequence, and the boy was sent home afterwards.

Last year, it was said a 10-year-old boy in Iran also performed a urethral insertion and required aid to have it removed, except the object, a sewing needle, was 9cm in length.

Urethral insertion disasters seem to be common in China as individuals have shoved any and everything up there and gotten it stuck, from padlocks and magnetic beads to more needles, electrical cables, USB cables, thermometers, more magnetic beads, chopsticks, and headphone wires.
