The first demo for the mystery visual novel Angelic Agency: Soul Salvation Unit is now available on Steam as of October 9. Developed by the Japanese indie circle YOKUNIKU, this release marks the debut project for solo developer kamoi and illustrator Ryouyaku. The game was selected as an official entry for the 14th Bitsummit independent game development festival in Japan.
Players assume the role of Tsujitsuma, a member of the Public Security’s Angelic Agency investigating supernatural murders known as Ghosturbance Cases. The demo covers Chapter 1 and features point-and-click investigation mechanics similar to those found in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Progression involves conversation, deduction using spirit memories, and judgment phases leading to multiple endings.
While the full release date remains undetermined, the complete title will launch in both English and Japanese. Interested users can currently wishlist the game on Steam for future updates.
