Yet another large 3D advertisement has appeared in the Shibuya area as this one is promoting the upcoming new cour of Spy x Family, which might be deemed less impressive than past advertisements as this one doesn’t seem to use the 3D effect as much.

E.M.T.G in NAGARA 9, a massive itasha exhibit at Chiba’s Longwood Station, unleashed over 300 anime-decorated vehicles for otaku to ogle, no doubt a haven for individuals who like making their hobbies known through a visual on their car.

E.M.T.G is a Japanese event known for its bishoujo games, and even during the Coronavirus “pandemic” in 2020, the event was held, with that year in particular being its most attended ever.

Lupin III is the next franchise to take part in a CM for world-consuming fast food joint McDonald’s, as the point of the CM is to advertise mobile order codes that can be used in a pinch, and watchers might be surprised that no actual thievery takes place.

Social media denizens have discovered there are advertisements for the One-Punch Man: The Strongest smartphone game and many have been criticizing their cringeworthy and low-effort nature, with such quality apparently being a trend for smartphone game ads.

With the Tokyo Game Show finally returning for its 2022 iteration, a slew of companions, booth babes, and cosplayers advertising various games and products have also reappeared, each one boasting their own unique sex appeal and sure to have many ecstatic to see them come back.

Another season of over-the-top comedy Jashin-chan Dropkick has come to an end as all sorts of humor happens yet again, from issues with dogs to Jashin attempting to commit to fitness, to a sexy finale with all the girls wearing swimsuits.

The Lawson convenience store chain has introduced virtual avatar clerks called “AVACOM” that will be used to remotely service customers across Japan through cash register monitors, with plans to implement the feature in over 200 stores in 2023.

With the ability to control avatars remotely, Lawson is looking to help add jobs to the workforce, including opportunities for people who have restrictions working or disabilities that prevent them from working regular jobs:

AVACOM is made in collaboration with avatar company AVITA, established by Osaka University professor Hiroshi Ishiguro. With the number of unmanned stores increasing in Japan, Lawson President Sadanabo Takemasu aims to “promote digitalization with the warmth of people and not just cold digitalization.”

Employees can remotely control avatars from their homes using computers, cameras, and microphones to respond to customers. In addition to being able to change the voices, appearance, and movements of the avatars, Lawson plans to introduce more, including collaborations with virtual YouTubers.

Lawson began recruiting candidates to test out the AVACOM at “Green Lawson” stores that will launch by the end of November. The testing will see how the avatar service performs in proposing products and explaining how to use the self-checkout.

In yet another completely unexpected event, the Love Live! School Idol Festival smartphone game is taking part in a collaboration with the highly violent and dramatic Code Geass, with such surprising collaborations perhaps being the only positive thing to come of mindless gacha games whose sole purpose is to suck up money.
